Mouth That Roars

Bill Liblick has made a name for himself of National TV Talk Shows where he spouted his outspoken views from the front row. Now he offers you his opinion every week in the "MOUTH THAT ROARS" Column in the Sullivan County Post.

“MOUTH THAT ROARS” Lives On

After nearly a decade the “MOUTH THAT ROARS” column has ended in the Sullivan County Democrat. Although my $25 a week stint is over, my devotion, dedication, and commitment to Sullivan County has not.

In the course of writing the “MOUTH THAT ROARS” I made a lot of friends and a lot of enemies. Sometimes friends became enemies and enemies became friends, but that is usually what happens when someone writes a scrupulous opinionated piece. In our great democracy we all have a right to agree and disagree. At the very least it makes good conversation.

I have always been honest, thought provoking, and maintained enormous balance and dignity. No one will ever muzzle me, nor sway my standards – no matter what political party I am enrolled in, or how active I might be in that political party. I will continue to be persistent, dedicated and courageous when it comes to exposing the truth and fighting for justice.

The “MOUTH THAT ROARS” column has always remained on topic and was never personal. Over the years I was attacked, smeared, stabbed in the back, maligned, falsely accused, and ripped to shreds by some of those who supposedly are the most honorable, respected, and reputable members of our community. I often questioned how they could look at themselves in the mirror and sleep peacefully at night.

I have learned a great deal over the years, and trust me – It is no wonder why Sullivan County is in the position it is in. There are many self motivated, dishonest, and downright corrupt people in various positions of power. Equally, there are many good people who have a heart, are honest, and actually do care.

Despite what anyone might think – there really is an “Ole Boys Club” and until we start connecting all the dots and do something about it, there will never ever be any positive productive change in Sullivan County.

In life there are beginnings and there are ends. My mother taught me at a very young age when one door closes another one opens, and you must move on. All this just makes my resolve even stronger.

Whether it is in a much needed new weekly newspaper, in an existing media outlet, or right here on the Internet alongside an exciting new printed publication – The “MOUTH” will continue ROARING!

Thank you to my loyal readership and following over the years. I know together we have and will continue to make a difference. I am going nowhere and neither is the “MOUTH THAT ROARS” column.

Stay tuned!
